The concept for MIJA Jewelry, LLC was first conceived in London in the fall of 2006 when MIJA’s founder and jewelry designer, Michelle Guest, was visiting her sister’s family. During her trip, Michelle made bracelets for her twin two-year old nieces using gold chain and loose pearls from a broken pearl necklace.

Two charming bracelets worn on the wrists of two little girls in London generated compliments left and right. People began asking where the bracelets could be bought. Realizing that there was a demand, Michelle was inspired to take her hobby and turn it into a profession. She soon created MIJA to offer a line of fine children and women’s jewelry so that mothers and grandmothers could match their precious little girls.

The collection is created from the finest quality gold, silver, and semi-precious stones. The pieces are cast from original hand-carved wax sculptures and the gemstones are individually set by hand.
